Overview
For travelers who can’t commit to a long trek but still want to get up close to Mount Everest, the Everest Mountain Flight is an excellent option. It provides an affordable, quick alternative to trekking, offering amazing mountain views in a short amount of time.
While we offer an Everest Base Camp Helicopter Tour, which includes a breakfast stop at Hotel Everest View, this option takes longer (about 4–5 hours) and is more expensive. In contrast, the Everest Mountain Flight takes just one hour, making it a perfect addition to any itinerary. It’s family-friendly, and you can book it for 2025 and 2026 departures.
Flight Details:
The flight departs from Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, as it’s the only departure point for this tour. The flight lasts between 50 to 60 minutes, and you will see over 20 stunning mountain peaks.
As soon as you ascend, you’ll be able to spot the Langtang Range. The journey continues with views of Ganesh Himal, Shishapangma, Everest, Lhotse, Cho Oyu, and many more peaks. The flight’s final stretch takes you over Chamlang before returning to Kathmandu, where you’ll get another chance to appreciate the mountains from a different perspective.
What to Expect:
This flight is less crowded than other tours, meaning tickets are usually available at an affordable price. Each passenger is guaranteed a window seat, so you won’t miss the spectacular views.
We work with Buddha Air, one of Nepal’s most reputable airlines, to ensure your comfort and safety. Onboard, you’ll receive a pamphlet with information about the mountains, and the crew will point out notable peaks. Plus, you’ll get the rare opportunity to view the Himalayas from the cockpit, offering an unforgettable perspective of the region.
Please follow the flight crew’s instructions to ensure an enjoyable experience for everyone.
